Notice of Settlement Relief Survey for Post-Class Applicants

The deadlines for the Department to adjudicate post-class applications has now passed.

As a reminder, you are part of the post-class if you submitted a borrower defense application between June 22, 2022 and November 15, 2022.

If you are a Post-Class Applicant from an Exhibit C School who did not receive a decision by January 28, 2026, your settlement relief is due by March 30, 2027. If your application was approved, your settlement relief is due one year from the date of your approval notice. If you are a Post-Class Applicant from a non-Exhibit C school who did not receive a decision by April 15, 2026, your settlement relief is due by June 15, 2027. If your application was approved, your settlement relief is due one year from the date of your approval notice

If you are not sure whether you received a decision, please check all email inboxes you have access to and all of your spam/junk/deleted folders for messages from the Department of Education (usually from noreply@studentaid.gov) and make sure your contact information is up to date on studentaid.gov. If you did not receive official notice of your entitlement to settlement relief, please fill out the form below.
